Charles Woodson Jr., the son of former Michigan legend Charles Woodson, has officially announced his commitment.
Woodson Jr. is the No. 44 safety in his class, per 247Sports. He showed enough potential at Lake Nona in Florida to receive scholarship offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State and a plethora of other notable schools.
"Smart safety with best-in-class type of bloodlines that made noticeable strides between sophomore and junior campaigns," 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins said. "Darts forward with conviction in run support taking sound angles to the football despite not being the largest defender at this stage."
Despite having several options at his disposal, Woodson Jr. opted to follow in his father's footsteps and commit to Michigan's football team.
Woodson Jr. will officially join the Wolverines in the fall of 2027.

Charles Woodson's legacy at Michigan.
Woodson had an incredible run in Ann Arbor from 1995-1997, racking up 16 interceptions, 21 receptions and over 1,000 all-purpose yards.
In 1997, Woodson became the first defensive player in college football history to win the Heisman Trophy. Colorado cornerback Travis Hunter won the award in 2024, but he also spent a good amount of time playing wide receiver.
Time will tell if Woodson's son also becomes a superstar for the Wolverines.
