Tennessee 4-star DL commit Kadin Fife will return to Georgia after recent visit

Tennessee took the lead early on in the recruitment of Summerville (Ga.) Chattooga four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife and landed his commitment back in November.

Nearly six months later, Fife remains pledged to the Volunteers. That doesn’t mean the door is shut on his process, however.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder remains solid with Tennessee but he’s also continued to take visits. Over the weekend, he was back in Athens for Georgia’s huge scavenger hunt visit event. It won’t be long until he’s on campus again, either.

Fife told Rivals’ Chad Simmons last month that he’ll take an official visit to UGA. On Monday, he confirmed that trip remains on the table, posting his OV graphic for the weekend of May 29.

Georgia has not let up in its pursuit to flip Fife away from Tennessee. The blue-chipper is certainly intrigued by staying in the Peach State next year.

“With Georgia, it’s the development and the standard,” Fife told Simmons. “You see what they do with defensive linemen, and that stands out. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and it was great. They go hard. They’ve been recruiting me hard and staying consistent.”

Fife is the No. 344 overall prospect and No. 36 DL in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 38 player in Georgia.

Head coach Kirby Smart and the Dawgs have some serious buzz on the recruiting trail after hosting a slew of highly-ranked prospects over the weekend. Fife was on campus and around the likes of wide receiver Eric McFarland, WR Amare Patterson, EDGE KJ Green and safety Adryan Cole.

Other schools still in the mix for Fife

UGA is not the only program working to flip Fife, though. In fact, another SEC team has really made its presence felt in his recruitment.

Ole Miss is emerging as a legitimate flip threat for Kadin Fife. The four-star defensive lineman remains committed to Tennessee, but Ole Miss has made a strong push,” Simmons wrote earlier this month. “Fife has visited Oxford and built a connection with Randall Joyner and the staff. Sources indicate the Rebels are “right there” with the Vols. Momentum is shifting, and this recruitment is far from settled.”

Georgia Tech, Auburn and Texas have done their best to remain in the picture for Fife, too. A loaded OV schedule will be crucial as he works to make his final decision. Tennessee remains the school he’s pledged to and it’ll be tough to beat the Vols in the end.

“I’m still committed to Tennessee,” Fife previously stated. “That’s where I chose for many reasons. With Tennessee, it’s the relationships I’ve built with the staff and how they see me developing there. They’ve been consistent with me and made me feel like a priority from the start.”

Georgia will have Fife back in Athens in less than two weeks. It’ll work to make another splash ahead of his other official visits.
