Four-star quarterback and Alabama commit Jett Thomalla delivered one of the most electrifying performances Nebraska high school football has seen in years.
Under the bright lights of the Class A state semifinals, Thomalla didn’t just play well, he absolutely KILLED it.
The Millard South star threw for an insane 463 yards and matched a long-standing Nebraska single-game record with seven touchdown passes, putting on the kind of show that has gone viral all over social media.

His dominance didn’t come in brief flashes, it was a full game of controlled, confident, explosive quarterback play. Thomalla commanded the field from the opening drive, dissecting the defense with deep bombs downfield, perfect releases, and the calm poise of a player who has played on big stages before.
Every throw seemed intentional, every read precise. The exact type of quarterback Alabama wants.
The Patriots rode his performance straight into a Class A state championship berth, where they’ll meet Papillion-La Vista South on Nov. 25 with everything on the line.
This season came with enormous expectations for Thomalla.
After all, his junior campaign was the kind most quarterbacks only dream about: 250 completions on 359 attempts for 3,664 yards and 47 touchdowns. Insanity.
That stat line alone would have made him one of the most talked-about passers in the region. But somehow, he’s managed to raise his ceiling even higher.
So far in 2025, his totals for this season now sit at 3,659 passing yards and 58 touchdown passes, a stunning continuation, and even elevation, of what he did last year.
It's no wonder why Alabama wants him so badly.
Very few quarterbacks can put together back-to-back seasons with numbers this astronomical. Even fewer can do it while carrying the expectations of a top-tier recruit committed to one of college football’s premier programs.
But that’s exactly what Thomalla has done.
Everything about this playoff run feels like a culmination of his growth: the arm talent, the accuracy, the decision-making, the leadership.
And now, with one game left, he has the chance to finish the story the right way: by bringing Millard South a state title.
If his semifinal performance is any indication, Thomalla isn’t just ready for that moment.
He’s built for it.
And hopefully, he's built for Bama.
Roll Tide!
