Florida State‘s search for a quarterback commitment has come to an end. The Seminoles have landed three-star prospect Logan Flaherty out of Port Charlotte, Florida.

He is the No. 726 player nationally and the No. 40 quarterback according to 247Sports composite. In the state of Florida, Flaherty is the No. 66 recruit.

Flaherty is the seventh commitment for FSU in the 2027 recruiting cycle. He joins four-star recruits, safety Mekhi Williams, linebacker Gregory Batson, and edge Anthony Cavallaro, plus three-star prospects safety Jemari Foreman, cornerback Dayon Cooper, and tight end Connor Winn.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder was once committed to the UCF Knights, but he reopened his recruitment in April when more programs became involved. FSU wasn’t the only school that pushed hard for Flaherty, as the Rutgers Scarlet Knights came on strong as well. However, multiple predictions had Florida State getting Flaherty over the weekend, which made it all but a forgone conclusion he’d end up in Tallahassee.

His junior campaign was a productive one in 2025. Flaherty led Port Charlotte High School to the 5A semifinals after logging 2,636 yards and 27 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. He was also an effective player with his legs, as he racked up 595 rushing yards and added 11 more scores.

FSU still has work to do in the 2027 cycle after its rankings took a significant dip lately. They do have projections to land four-star wide receiver Sean Green and three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis.
