The Auburn Tigers currently hold a commitment from 2027 four-star tight end George Lamons. He pledged to them on April 18, but several other schools will get a chance to try and flip him.
Lamons is still expected to take his official visit during the summer, according to Nathan King of 247Sports. The Florida Gators will host him first next week on May 28. Lamons will visit Florida State on June 5 and then go to Auburn on June 12. Lastly, he'll visit the Alabama Crimson Tide on June 19.
FSU has over a two-year history with Lamons, going back to extending him a scholarship offer in April of 2024 during an unofficial visit, and he took four more visits that year as well. He took four visits in 2025, which included attending games against the Miami Hurricanes and the Virginia Tech Hokies, plus he's been on campus three times already in 2026.
Lamons made his mark on the recruiting scene as a sophomore with 63 receptions for 1,340 yards and 20 touchdowns. He hauled in 30 passes for 399 yards and three scores as a junior.
The 6-foot-3.5, 215-pounder is the No. 241 overall recruit and the nation's No. 13 tight end per 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Georgia, he's the No. 25 player.
