GAINESVILLE — Receiver Elias Pearl of Port Charlotte is the latest 4-star prospect to join Florida coach Jon Sumrall’s 2027 top-10 class.

Rated the nation’s No. 90 overall prospect and No. 16 player at his position by 247Sports composite rankings, Pearl announced Tuesday he committed to the Gators, choosing them over Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss.

“Dreams come true, you just have to stay consistent and be all in,” he told On3.com.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Pearl caught 69 passes for 1,052 yards and 13 scores in 2025. He’ll join fellow standout receivers Anthony Jennings from Fort Lauderdale Dillard High and Tramond Collins of Cottondale, located on Florida’s Panhandle.

Jennings recorded 19 touchdowns and 1,389 yards on 55 catches, averaging 25.2 yards, during 19 games the past two seasons. Collins totaled 2,276 yards from scrimmage on 111 touches, averaging 20.5 yards, and scored 29 touchdowns the past two seasons.

This past Saturday, Cain Van Norden, a 6-foot-7, 265-pound defensive lineman from Maryland, also committed to the Gators, who currently have 16 players in their 2027 class.
