When it comes to building for the future, Longhorns football has been busy connecting with some of the best players in the 2028 class. That list includes Kellan Hall, who is the top defensive lineman on the board. While Texas faces plenty of competition, it will be able to make its best pitch when Hall is on campus for a visit on May 31st.

During the recruiting process, Hall has received offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan. He has already taken unofficial visits to Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Missouri. That list should continue to grow over the next few weeks as the Louisville native weighs his options.

The heavy interest comes as no surprise, given how Hall is viewed by scouts. Currently, he is ranked as the third-best defensive lineman in his class by 247Sports. They also rank the Longhorns' target as the best player from Kentucky and the 25th best player in the nation. That is partly why Texas has made its interest known early on.

Throughout his high school career, Hall has made life difficult for offensive coordinators with his athleticism and quick reaction time. He has also played very well against the run and shown that he can handle multiple positions. Those traits would be key in a competitive conference such as the SEC.

While Texas would get a boost with Hall in the mix, he is not the only recruit they are chasing. The Longhorns have also made offers to four-star recruits such as Ian Thomas, DeAndre Bidden, Braxton Rein, Austin Attalah, Kendrick Harris, and Kameron McGee. Adding any of those players would be a major win for head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff.

Although Hall has not set a commitment date, the Longhorns will get a chance to show him what his future in the burnt orange could hold when he is on campus in less than two weeks.
