The Georgia Bulldogs are predicted to land a commitment from a big in-state defensive lineman. Rivals Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons both predict (subscription required) that three-star defensive line recruit Waylon Wooten will commit to Georgia.
Wooten is a member of the class of 2027. He plays high school football for Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. Wooten is ranked as the No. 110 defensive lineman in his recruiting class. The 6-foot-2, 300-pound defender is the No. 120 recruit in Georgia and the No. 1,013 prospect in the country.
Georgia offered Wooten back in Aug. 2024. The Grayson star plays against a high level of high school competition. Wooten has scholarship offers from top college football programs like Ohio State, Florida, LSU and more.
Wooten went on spring visits to Purdue, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State and more. The talented defender would be a solid addition for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia. The Bulldogs have the nation's No. 31 recruiting class with seven total commitments. Georgia has no commitments along the defensive line yet.
