When it comes to the talent arms race in college football, the Washington Huskies’ roster valuation ahead of the 2026 season sits in the upper echelon of the Big Ten.

Based on an evaluation by College Front Office—an independent college sports research firm that uses a combination of reported and projected revenue-share and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals to determine individual and total team roster valuations—UW ranks No. 5 in the Big Ten with an estimated value of $28.4 million, behind Oregon ($43 million), Ohio State ($42.1 million), Michigan ($33.3 million) and USC ($33.3 million).

At the top of the list, unsurprisingly, is junior starting quarterback Demond Williams Jr. at $4.5 million, the seventh-highest valued passer in college football and the second-highest Big Ten signal-caller behind Ducks’ junior Dante Moore ($7.5 million), who sits second nationally behind Miami’s Darian Mensah ($10 million).

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Arizona native is one of three Huskies with a seven-figure valuation, along with senior edge rushers Jacob Lane ($1.1 million) and Isaiah Ward at just over $1 million, while senior right tackle Drew Azzopardi came in just under at $926,267.

CFO’s valuation for UW is for 65 players, while the official roster for 2026 lists, which means the number should be taken more as a rough barometer for the cost of this years team rather than a true, firm amount.

”The $28.45M reflects every player CFO currently values for Washington, and every one of those players appears on the team page roster,” the company’s editorial staff wrote in an email when asked for clarification. That page can be found here.

According to CFO's estimation, UW’s roster breaks down to $21.2 million for retained players (74 percent), $5.1 million for transfer portal additions (18 percent), and $2.1 million for freshmen. Of the top first-year players from the 2026 class, offensive tackle Kodi Greene received a $724,500 valuation (who is expected to start at left tackle), the highest listed of the 12 freshmen on CFO’s UW roster.
