Four-star linebacker recruit AJ Randle has committed to the Miami Hurricanes. Randle remained as a top target for the Georgia Bulldogs until Randle’s final decision was reached, as the talented linebacker has chose Miami over Georgia despite a push from coach Kirby Smart and his staff.

Randle chose the Hurricanes over Georgia, South Carolina and Ohio State. At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Randle is an extremely fast and athletic linebacker that could have been a focal point on the Dawgs’ defense if he landed in Athens. The rising star is scheduled to take an official visit to Georgia on June 19 despite his Miami commitment, but Randle will more than likely stay true to his commitment and play for the Hurricanes.

Randle has been a superstar throughout the first half of his career at Garner High School in North Carolina. He is ranked as the No. 6 linebacker and the No. 95 overall player from the class of 2027 as a result. He is listed as the fifth-best player in North Carolina, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings

Georgia has targeted some of the elite talent from the 2027 and 2028 classes throughout the offseason. The Dawgs recently submitted an offer to four-star quarterback Lukas Prock, while also receiving a prediction to land 2027 defensive lineman Waylon Wooten
