ESPN's Laura Rutledge announced Tuesday that she's officially leaving "SEC Nation" after an incredible run that spanned over a decade.
Rutledge, who joined ESPN in 2014, got her big break on SEC Network’s "SEC Nation." Her success led to her being named the full-time host of "NFL Live" as well as a sideline reporters for "Monday Night Football."
While there's no doubt Rutledge has enjoyed her time on "SEC Nation," she's ready to move on from that chapter of her career.
"Ten years ago, I walked onto this set not fully knowing what the journey would become. Today, I walk away knowing it became one of the most meaningful chapters of my life," Rutledge wrote. "SEC Nation has never just been a show to me. It’s been a family, a front-row seat to the passion of college football and a weekly reminder of what makes the SEC so special. From the roar of packed stadiums on crisp fall mornings to the quiet, behind-the-scenes moments that viewers never see, every second has meant something. Seeing all of you show up for us every Saturday and feeling genuinely honored you wanted to take pictures and chat will always stick with me."
As you'd imagine, college football fans are devastated that Rutledge won't be featured on SEC Network this fall.
"Watching you grow & shine during this decade into the woman, mom and host you have become has been inspiring – millions have been able to witness it," Amanda Scarborough of ESPN Softball wrote. "While also continuing to be the most amazing friend and person you were a decade ago, who loves to see OTHERS shine."
"Oh, no. I hope we still get some Reese picks," one fan said. "You’re a legend in my book, Laura Rutledge."
"Laura Rutledge will definitely be missed," a second fan commented.
"We are gonna miss Laura so much on Saturday mornings! She was such a great alternative to College Game Day," another fan said.

What's next for Laura Rutledge?
Rutledge will continue to host "NFL Live" during the 2026 regular season. She'll also have the honor of covering Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium.
Earlier this month, Rutledge said ABC expects Super Bowl LXI to be the most-watched Super Bowl ever.
Suffice to say, Rutledge will remain in the spotlight even though she's moving on from SEC Network.
