Three-star wide receiver recruit Majay Thompson would be a big addition for the Georgia Bulldogs. Thompson, an elite recruit in the class of 2027, is also strongly considering the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver plays high school football for Crest High School in Shelby, North Carolina, which is about an hour from Charlotte. Thompson is ranked as the No. 71 wide receiver in the country and the No. 20 recruit in North Carolina, per the 247Sports Composite. The standout receiver is the No. 606 recruit in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons both predict that Thompson will commit to Georgia football. UGA and coach Kirby Smart appeared to make a strong impression on Thompson when he took his official visit to Athens for the Bulldogs’ annual scavenger hunt weekend.

The Crest star joins four-star safety Adryan Cole and four-star offensive tackle JJ Brown in receiving recent predictions to commit to Georgia. UGA has a lot of work to do in the class of 2027 as the Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 30 recruiting class. Georgia has only eight commitments in the 2027 cycle right now.
