LSU football hosting elite wide receiver recruit on official visit

2027 athlete Xavier Sabb will make an official visit to LSU football this weekend, according to a report from 247Sports' Andre Champagne. The outlet ranks him the No. 2 athlete in the cycle.

Sabb also scheduled visits to Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Oregon over the next month. He'll likely be a wide receiver at the college level. Rivals' Industry Rankings puts him at No. 4 at the position and No. 22 nationally.

A five-star prospect per Rivals' Industry Rankings, Sabb would be the second wide receiver to pick LSU. Ah'Mari Stevens, a four-star from Fort Lauderdale, FL, is the lone pass catcher in a class of five commitments. The class ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC.

Sabb hails from Glassboro, NJ and is the state's top prospect. He's one of multiple five-stars being targeted by head coach Lane Kiffin to kick off the summer. The Tigers are far behind other teams in terms of the number of commitments, but LSU expects to contend for the No. 1-ranked class in the country.

Sabb is the brother of Alabama star safety Keon Sabb.
