Another day closer from the end of the offseason and it’s another transfer defensive tackle who will be featured as Penn State is now 97 days away from the start of the 2026 football season.
Wearing No. 97 will be Keanu Williams, a 6’5, 329 pound defensive lineman who started 11 games last year at UCLA.
Williams will be using his sixth year of eligibility, having suffered a season-ending injury back in 2024 after starting the first two games for the Bruins. Last year, Williams had 39 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a pass breakup. He had three tackles in UCLA’s shocking upset of Penn State back in October.
Initially an Oregon signee, Williams was a four-star prospect out of Clovis, California, whose father is a former Iowa running back.
Williams, like yesterday’s featured player Dallas Vakalahi, figures to stabilize a revamped defensive line under D’Anton Lynn that will focus more on space-eating tackles.
Penn State is now 97 days away from opening the year at home against Marshall.
