It’s taken quite some time, but the Wisconsin Badgers finally landed their first class of 2027 commitment from a wide receiver.
Wisconsin didn’t just bring in any wideout; they won over Arizona native Jai Jones, someone who could’ve committed to the Wildcats with ease.
Instead, the Badgers made the most of their official visit with the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder who had 10 receiving touchdowns and was 78 yards shy of 1,000 at Chandler High School in 2025.
Officially, Jones is the Badgers’ fourth-highest-ranked recruit in their class of 2027. Luke Fickell has assembled an extremely talented group, one that has kept them in the top 25 of both Rivals and 247Sports recruiting rankings.
247Sports: No. 17 (+2)
Wisconsin maintains not only a top 25 ranking, but a top 20 ranking thanks to 247Sports. Prior to Jones’ commitment, they were sitting at No. 19.
Rivals: No. 20 (+3)
Rivals sees the Badgers a bit lower than 247Sports, but overall, this is still a stellar ranking. Wisconsin jumped three spots in Rivals’ rankings thanks to Jones commitment, which proves just how big a deal this get truly is for Fickell and company.
