NORMAN — Gabriel Osborne Jr. is staying home.
The 2027 four-star cornerback and Mustang High School star announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Monday. Osborne chose the Sooners over Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and Miami.
Osborne, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound recruit, was heavily recruited by the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes but the Sooners managed to lock him up following an official visit this past weekend.
Rivals ranks Osborne as the nation's fifth-ranked cornerback and No. 29 prospect overall.
OU now holds 23 commitments in its 2027 class, which ranked third nationally by Rivals before Osborne's commitment.
The Sooners have dominated recruiting in the state, also landing five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett from Fort Gibson and four-star offensive tackle Kaeden Penny from Bixby.
