Though rumors of further expansion continue to swirl, the College Football Playoff will remain at 12 teams for at least one more season. Now, we know the full schedule for the 2027 CFP.
On Tuesday, the CFP, ESPN and TNT announced the full 2027 playoff schedule, including game times and television slots. As usual, it will begin with on-campus first-round games on the third weekend of December. One game will air on the night of Friday, December 18, while the other three will air throughout the day on Saturday, December 19.
With New Year's Eve falling on a Thursday, the CFP quarterfinals will seemingly avoid competing with the NFL. The Fiesta Bowl will air on the night of Dec. 30, while New Year's Day will feature the other three quarterfinal games — the Peach Bowl, the Cotton Bowl and the Rose Bowl. Those games will air at noon, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. (all ET), but the exact slots will be determined at a later date.
