Football: 3-star 2027 offensive lineman Alexander Herrera commits to TCU

TCU football beefed up its trenches last week, picking up a commitment from three-star Crowley offensive tackle prospect Alexander “Big Country” Herrera. The 6-foot-6, 330-pounder becomes the fourth 2027 recruit for the Horned Frogs, who have already added three-star quarterback Brice McCurdy, three-star EDGE Drake Carroll and three-star defensive lineman Darrien Neal. Herrera chose TCU over SMU, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas Tech and more. The Horned Frogs have more scheduled visits coming soon.

Herrera, who holds over 20 Division I offers, is the first offensive lineman to join the 2027 recruiting class. He’ll join a TCU program that went 9-4 and defeated USC to win the Alamo Bowl this past season.
