Clemson football delivered a new victory over Notre Dame to kick off June 2026. This one coming two days after landing four-star edge rusher Santana Harvey over the Fighting Irish. Now one more four-star arrives to Dabo Swinney and company, with Luke Starcevic joining the Tigers’ College Football Recruiting class.
The 6-foot-6 talent confirmed his decision with Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals Monday. Starcevic will arrive as a rare North Dakota talent to Death Valley as he stars for Kindred High.
He didn’t just say no to Notre Dame either. Kansas State entered his final picture too before turning down a chance to play in the Big 12.
Offensive line coach Matt Luke assisted Swinney in becoming Starcevic’s primary recruiter. Offensive coordinator Chad Morris emerged as Starcevic’s secondary recruiter.
Starcevic earned a “jumbo” athlete label even though he’s projected to grow into a future tackle prospect. The 250-pounder can play tight end too and drew some interest on the recruiting trail for that spot. Although Kansas State saw value in him as a defensive end, according to Paul Strelow of On3/Rivals.
Clemson boosted the offensive line nearly a week before the Starcevic commitment. Four-star Carter Jones of Poquoson, Virginia chose the Atlantic Coast Conference school over Penn State and Georgia on May 25. Jones emerged as one other 6-foot-6 lineman option for the two-time national champion winning coach and Clemson.
The Tigers also won over a skill position talent who reached four-star status. Wide receiver Jamarian Simmons chose the Tigers and turned down Florida plus Florida State back on May 20.
Clemson ranks 13th in the 2027 team recruiting rankings per On3/Rivals, but sits at No. 8 overall by 247Sports.
