Why is Kirk Herbstreit not in 'EA Sports College Football 27?'

The latest EA Sports College Football game will feature a notable omission on the in-contest broadcasts.

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit will not appear in the 2027 edition of the game, according to On3's Pete Nakos. No reason was given for Herbstreit's departure from the series, but it's always possible a contract got in the way of his return.

We're not sure who will be taking over as the primary play-by-play analyst for Herbstreit in the game. Hopefully, it's somebody who college football fans will enjoy while they're playing the latest edition of EA Sports College Football.

We should find out soon enough since the game comes out on July 9.

Oregon's Dante Moore, Ole Miss' Kewan Lacy and Miami's Malachi Toney.
