The FSU Seminoles have missed out on an in-state defensive line target, with Errol Demontagnac committing to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday.
Demontagnac was also considering the Virginia Cavaliers and was set to officially visit FSU next weekend. He is from Seffner, Florida, and was a newer target for the Seminoles, who offered him a scholarship on April 6.
He is ranked as the No. 855 overall player and No. 98 defensive lineman in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 83 player from Florida.
He had an excellent junior season at Armwood High School, leading them to an 11-1 record. He recorded 87 tackles, 30.0 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks, 6.0 quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
FSU has two commitments along the defensive line in four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro and three-star defensive lineman Eric Valux Jr. While they missed out on Demontagnac, key target Jason Lewis is on campus for his official visit, and the Seminoles are the heavy favorites for the three-star prospect. FSU’s 2027 recruiting class currently has seven commitments.
