Alabama Crimson Tide Head Coach Patrick Murphy and his staff have been named as the NFCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year, per an announcement on X.
Alabama had one of their best overall seasons in program history under Murphy in 2026. The Head Coach played a massive role in Alabama’s head-turning 56-9 (19-5 SEC) overall record, and Murphy’s staff has officially been rewarded for their efforts this season as a result. Crimson Tide assistant coaches Adam Arbour, Kayla Braud and Lance McMahon played an essential role in the team securing the number one overall national seed throughout the NCAA Tournament as well, and Alabama’s coaching staff as a whole was elite across 2026.
Murphy and the Tide were originally projected to finish the 2026 campaign as the ninth team in the SEC. The team as a whole exceeded expectations in authoritative fashion this year, and Murphy had Alabama playing on an extremely high level throughout the majority of the season.
Alabama’s season has officially come to an end following back-to-back losses against Texas Tech last week, but the Tide’s coaching staff has been rewarded for their efforts nonetheless.
