The Oklahoma Sooners lost their second wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class on Saturday evening when Tra’von Hall flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Ole Miss. That comes after Demare Dezeurn opted to flip to the Cal Bears earlier on Saturday.

Hall committed to Oklahoma on November 30, but this spring saw his recruitment take off with schools like Ole Miss, Florida, and LSU coming in pursuit. He took an official visit with Florida at the end of May and on Oklahoma’s first big official visit weekend of June, Hall was in Oxford visiting the Rebels.

With Hall taking visits to prominent SEC schools, flipping from OU was a real possibility, even with an official visit scheduled for next weekend. However, it’s looking like that’s pretty unlikely at this point.

So, now the Sooners are down to just one wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class, Greydon Howell, the in-state star from Southeast Oklahoma. The Sooners took four in the 2026 cycle in Jayden Petit, Daniel Odom, Jahsiear Rogers, and Xavier Okwufulueze.
