Alabama added another piece to its growing 2027 recruiting class this weekend, flipping tight end Michael Nnabuife from Syracuse following his official visit to Tuscaloosa.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore had only been committed to Syracuse for a few weeks, but after spending time around Alabama's program, he decided the Crimson Tide was the right fit for his future.

Recruiting momentum continues to build for Kalen DeBoer and his staff, and Nnabuife's commitment is another example of the impact Alabama is making on the recruiting trail.
While he may not be one of the highest-ranked players in the class, Nnabuife brings impressive size, physicality and upside to the tight end position.
Alabama has always valued versatile tight ends who can contribute both as blockers and pass catchers, and Nnabuife has the frame and skill set to develop into that type of player at the next level.
His visit to Tuscaloosa came during a busy recruiting weekend that featured several notable prospects and commitments. Five-star quarterback Elijah Haven, who is already committed to Alabama, was on campus, along with four-star running back Nigel Newkirk and several other recruits. The atmosphere clearly made an impression on Nnabuife.
The Maryland native chose Alabama over a lengthy list of scholarship offers that included Syracuse, South Carolina, West Virginia, Rutgers, Kentucky, NC State, Toledo, South Florida and Delaware State.
The commitment gives Alabama another tight end in the 2027 class and further strengthens what is already shaping up to be one of the nation's top recruiting groups.
Nnabuife joins an Alabama class that already includes five-star quarterback Elijah Haven, four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon II, four-star running back Nigel Newkirk, four-star quarterback Trent Seaborn, three-star defensive linemen AJ Pauley and Stevan Thornton III, and fellow tight end Oakley Keegan.
One of the most impressive aspects of Alabama's recruiting success under DeBoer has been the staff's ability to win battles outside of the Southeast. Landing a prospect from Maryland and flipping him away from another Power Four program shows the Crimson Tide's recruiting reach remains strong nationally.
It's also another sign that recruits are buying into the vision DeBoer has laid out for the future of Alabama football. Despite questions that followed the program after Nick Saban's retirement, Alabama continues to recruit at an elite level and remains one of the most attractive destinations in college football.
With the 2027 cycle still in its early stages, there is plenty of work left to do. However, the Crimson Tide continues to build momentum, and adding Nnabuife is another step in the right direction.
The recruiting wins keep coming for Alabama, and if this weekend was any indication, DeBoer and his staff may not be finished adding talent to the 2027 class anytime soon.
Roll Tide.
