Big Ten passer begins to emerge in the Heisman Trophy odds after another sharp performance

With just two regular season weeks left, the Heisman Trophy favorite has emerged. And he currently resides in Bloomington, Ind., competing for the Indiana Hoosiers: quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Transferring to Indiana from Cal this offseason, it’s hard to imagine the move working out any better. Not only has Mendoza lit the college football world on fire, he’s also drawn significant draft buzz and has put himself in position to be a sure-fire first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

But before that, he has one more game to secure his standing as the potential 2025 Heisman Trophy winner. It will come in two weeks, as the Hoosiers have already played 11 games and will compete against Purdue in Week 14.

Right on his heels is a fellow Big Ten passer, Ohio State’s Julian Sayin, who had a bit of an uneven performance this week without one of his top wideouts in Carnell Tate.

The Oregon DucksDante Moore also remains on the list, but is far, far below after struggling for various reasons over the past month-plus — despite an excellent performance on Friday night against Minnesota.

Check out the full post-Week 12 Heisman Trophy odds below.
