LSU football added two commits to its 2027 recruiting class on Sunday. First, five-star defensive end KJ Green picked the Tigers. Not long after that, three-star running back Brennen Lacey gave his word to Lane Kiffin and staff.
LSU needed the positive momentum. Last week, LSU watched five-star defensive end Jaiden Bryant flip from LSU to Miami and the Tigers lost a battle for a blue-chip safety to Wisconsin. After Sunday, LSU’s class is moving in the right direction again.
LSU’s 2027 recruiting class ranks No. 24 nationally and ninth in the SEC, with a class score of 89.01, per the Rivals Industry Rankings. The Tigers have six commits, headlined by five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson and Green.
LSU is just getting started, though. Kiffin and Co. are building momentum with a handful of blue-chip prospects and LSU expects to sign a top-10 class when it’s all said and done.
In 2026, LSU finished No. 12 in the recruiting rankings, despite Kiffin taking over the program just a few days before the early signing period.
