The North Carolina Tar Heels are starting to see their 2027 football recruiting class come together. It was just a few days ago when the team landed a talented offensive lineman to join the class. And now, they have added another key piece.

Bill Belichick and his staff have landed three-star quarterback Noah Spinks.

The Texas native pledged his verbal commitment to the program on Monday just days after he took his official visit beginning on Friday. Spinks told the staff that he would be committing that weekend, giving them a big quarterback recruit in the 2027 class.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Spinks hails from Humble, Texas and plays his high school football at Humble Summer Creek. He had a total of 23 offers and took visits to UNC and Utah.

Spinks is ranked No. 1317 nationally, the No. 80 quarterback and No. 166 in the state of Texas per the On3 recruiting rankings. He told Inside Carolina that his dream school was UNC growing up.

“(UNC) has been my dream school ever since I was a little kid,” Spinks told Inside Carolina in April. “When I was little, I would always see the jerseys and (Michael) Jordan. I went up to camp when I was in the seventh grade. My whole family loved it up there.”

With the addition of Spinks, UNC has seven commitments in the 2027 recruiting class.
