LSU football did not receive any votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll for a second straight week.

With two games left on the regular season schedule, LSU has a chance to boost its standing. It welcomes Western Kentucky next week, then heads to No.8 Oklahoma to end the year.

LSU picked up its first win under interim head coach Frank Wilson on Saturday. It defeated Arkansas 23-22 in Baton Rouge on Saturday to become bowl eligible. Michael Van Buren started at quarterback in place of the injured Garrett Nussmeier and led a game-winning drive for 92 yards, capped by a 12-yard touchdown pass to Bauer Sharp.

The Tiger defense came away with three turnovers as it established the dominance it started the season with. Jack Pyburn recovered a fumble in the first quarter. Harold Perkins and Mansoor Delane hauled in interceptions, setting up LSU to score on both takeaways.

However, the state of Louisiana was represented in the poll with Tulane ranking No. 25.
