Only Andrew Rappleyea Until Penn State Football

We’re only 87 days out from Penn State clashing with Marshall to open the 2026 football season, and today we’re honoring one of the most important returning players to the offense in Andrew Rappleyea. After spending most of the 2025 season getting back into post-injury playing shape, he became a real weapon in the Nittany Lions’ offensive attack down the stretch, catching a touchdown in each of PSU’s final three games against Nebraska, Rutgers, and Clemson, totaling 10 catches and 97 yards. Perhaps his best highlight can be seen in the video above, where he catches a critical 4th down pass early in the game against Rutgers and takes it the distance to tie it up 7-7.
Now having a full healthy offseason, look for Andrew to become one of Rocco Becht’s favorite passing targets, along with Iowa State transfer tight end Ben Brahmer. Given how much offensive coordinator Taylor Mouser loves using tight ends, look for Rappleyea and Brahmer to form a “Bash Brothers” type duo on the field, one that can both throw devastating blocks as well as become receiving threats themselves.
