Things are good in Buckeye land! The Ohio State football team is riding a winning streak on the gridiron as well as in the world of recruiting. Ryan Day has led his team to a 10-0 record on the season and is the odds-on favorite to repeat as national champions. Recruits are seeing what the Buckeyes are doing and taking notice as well.

Just hours before Ohio State took the field against UCLA, four-star safety Eli Johnson gave his commitment to the Buckeyes. Just a day later and OSU got more good news as four-star defensive lineman Dre Quinn gave his verbal pledge to join the 2026 crop of Buckeyes.

It was another win for Ohio State over Clemson, as Quinn was previously committed to Dabo Swinney and the Tigers. Hailing from Buford, Georgia, the defensive edge is ranked as the No. 36 pass rusher in the nation according to 247Sports composite rankings.

As the early signing period draws closer, Ohio State is likely not done with the 2026 class just yet. The Buckeyes continue to host players hoping to earn their commitment. Ohio State currently has the No. 7 class in the country.
