Colorado is heading into another major recruiting weekend on June 12 and 13, and the group coming to Boulder could give the Buffaloes another boost in the 2027 class. One of the biggest names on the list is running back Kylan Bobo, a three-star prospect from Tupelo, Mississippi, who has scheduled an official visit for June 12.

Bobo posted on X that he will be in Boulder for his official visit this weekend, adding that Colorado is his final stop. He has also drawn attention to the Buffs, with a 247Sports’ Crystal Ball prediction pointing to CU. His final four includes Colorado, Arkansas, Memphis and Minnesota.

Big visitor list

Bobo is not coming alone. Colorado is also expected to host linebacker Zykee Scott, linebacker Jahmiere Daniels-Portis, edge rushers James Harris, Drew Sapp, and Fui Vakapuna, and defensive back Savoy Guidry.

That gives the Buffs a chance to make a real impression on several players at once. Colorado already turned a strong June stretch into five commitments from 2027 recruits last weekend, and the program will try to keep that momentum going.

What Bobo brings to the table

Bobo is listed at 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds and is ranked as the No. 64 running back in the 2027 class by 247Sports Composite. He had a big junior season at Tupelo High School, rushing 197 times for 1,726 yards and 28 touchdowns while also catching seven passes for 106 yards and another score.

Colorado just landed its first 2027 running back commitment from Steven Alexis, so Bobo would give the Buffs another chance to strengthen the backfield group.

Bigger picture

For Colorado, this weekend is another sign the staff is leaning harder into high school recruiting. Since Deion Sanders arrived, the program has leaned heavily on the transfer portal, but the Buffs are now trying to build more long-term depth through younger players as well.

That approach could matter down the road. If Colorado can keep stacking recruiting wins like this, the Buffs may finally start building a roster that lasts beyond one transfer portal cycle.
