PSU interim HC Terry Smith talks first win after defeating Michigan State football

On Saturday, Michigan State and Penn State came into a game against one another at 3-6, and searching for their first Big Ten win of the season. In the end, it was Penn State getting the much needed first conference win, defeating the Spartans, 28-10.

More noteworthy, it was Penn State interim's coach Terry Smith's first win after taking over for James Franklin. He had lost his first three games to Iowa, Ohio State and Indiana. It is also the second loss Michigan State has suffered to an interim coach this season.

Following the game, in his post game press conference, Smith spoke about the win and what it meant to him to get that first victory over Michigan State and  the dominating performance of the ground game in the second half.
