Get to know the Kentucky football roster: No. 85 Elijah Brown

We are getting to know the 2026 Kentucky Wildcats football roster as we count down the days until the start of the season on Sep. 5. There are now 85 days until then, and today we're taking a look at senior tight end Elijah Brown.

Brown was an elite prospect out of high school, rated four stars by 247Sports. They ranked him as the No. 241 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class, and the No. 8 tight end. He had offers from a number of top programs, but committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

After redshirting in 2022, he transferred to Florida Atlantic, and played in 11 games over two seasons. During that time, he caught one pass for 22 yards. He would wind up transferring to Kentucky for the 2025 season, but didn't see a lot of action.

Heading into 2026, Brown will have a shot at seeing the field more than previously. Coach Will Stein will utilize the tight ends more than the previous coach, and depth at the position will be important. If the new staff can tap into Brown's talent, they could find a hidden gem.
