The Oregon Ducks have had a major change to their official visit list for the weekend.
On Friday, it was announced that 5-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou is no longer planning to make it out to Eugene for his OV, after narrowing his list down to three schools: the Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas Longhorns, and Georgia Bulldogs.
Fakatou is rated as the No. 24 and No. 2 DL in the 2027 class, per the 247Sports Composite, and has been high on the Ducks for quite a while in his recruitment. However, things have changed as of late, and with his high school teammate Kassi Currie committing to Texas on Thursday, and also canceling his weekend OV to Oregon, Fakatou followed suit.
This is a frustrating development for the Ducks, but by no means a reason for fans to panic. Oregon currently has the No. 6 class in the nation, and is expected to sign a top-five class once again this year, with some major commitments on deck.
