Donovan McNabb is one of the greatest Philadelphia Eagles of all time.
His son, Donovan McNabb Jr., is hoping to write his own name as a football player, and he has now made a college commitment to take the next step on that journey.
McNabb Jr. has committed to play at UNLV, according to Rivals.
He's a wide receiver, not a quarterback, and will take his talents to the Running Rebels.

His father played at Syracuse, but most of McNabb Jr.'s consideration came in the Midwest and further West.
Some of the teams he turned down in favor of UNLV included Kansas State, Iowa, Minnesota and Iowa State.
McNabb Jr. plays for Brophy College Prep in Phoenix, Arizona. As a junior, he had 23 catches for 280 yards and five touchdowns.
UNLV plays in the Mountain West Conference, which is conceptually less prestigious than the conferences of some of the schools McNabb Jr. reportedly turned down.
On the flip side, opportunity could be greater in the early going at UNLV.

It's an odd recruiting market for high school players now, because the transfer portal is so prominent. To even have a chance at playing early, you have to go somewhere that your job may not be replaced immediately by a transfer.
McNabb Jr.'s name will get him extra notice when he's at UNLV, and maybe that's good from an NIL earnings standpoint.
At the end of the day, McNabb Jr. surely just wants to get on the field and prove that he belongs on his own merits.
