A recent Michigan State football commit has been bumped up in the latest recruiting ratings update from 247Sports.
Zach Forbish of Frisco, Texas is now officially listed as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. Forbish committed to Michigan State earlier this month as an unranked and unrated prospect, but now hold a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports.
Along with picking up a three-star rating, Forbish is now listed as the No. 105 wide receiver in the 2027 class by 247Sports. Additionally, he is ranked as the No. 878 overall prospect in the class in 247Sports' composite rankings.
Michigan State beat out the likes of Wisconsin, Pitt and North Texas for Forbish's commitment earlier this month. He committed to Michigan State following an official visit and is one of 14 commitments in the Spartans' 2027 class at the moment.
Forbish has the size and speed that makes him an intriguing prospect alone. Combine that with playing for a big-time school in Texas and it's no surprise to see him be bumped up to a three-star prospect. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him move up even further following his senior season in the fall.
