The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from international defensive line recruit Marcellus Young Casario, per Rivals’ Chad Simmons. A native of Canada, Young Casario is a talented lineman who has committed to joining the Dawgs for the 2027 season following his announcement.

Young Casario drew serious interest from a plethora of teams around the SEC prior to his Georgia commitment. Standing at 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, Young Casario could emerge as a regular contributor on the Dawgs defensive line next season considering his elite size and athleticism. The big man has continued to turn heads throughout his time at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee High School (Rabun Gap, Georgia) during his junior season, and Young Casario will look continue to dominate during his senior season.

Young Casario is ranked as the No. 70 DL and the No. 553 player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is ranked as the No. 69 recruit in Georgia after moving from Ontario to Rabun Gap, and the international star has decided to stay home and commit to UGA. Young Casario is a three-star recruit. The big man was able to finalize his decision after taking an official visit to Athens on June 12.

The Bulldogs’ 2027 class continues to rise in both the SEC recruiting and national rankings following the addition of Young Casario and a handful of other key players. Georgia currently holds the fifth-best 2027 class in the SEC and the No. 14 class nationally.
