Notre Dame is right in the middle of the busiest part of its summer recruiting calendar with visits and official visits dominating the efforts. The Irish just had a “decommitment” from linebacker Amarri Irvin, but there is plenty of reasons to be optimistic about how their 2027 football recruiting class will eventually take shape.
Here’s what we publicly know…
Notre Dame has become the team to beat for 5-Star linebacker, Kaden Henderson. The Tampa Jesuit blue-chipper is taking his official visit this upcoming weekend, and the buzz around South Bend is that he could commit to the Irish within the next couple of weeks.
On the offensive side of the ball, 4-Star WR Julius Jones Jr. is another blue-chip player from Florida that is predicted to commit to the Irish. The son of legendary Irish running back Julius Jones, will visit Notre Dame this weekend and all signs are good for his pledge during his commitment ceremony on June 21.
4-Star Linebacker Roman Igwebuike is predicted to be Irish after his visit to Notre Dame, but his timeline isn’t as set in stone as some of the others. Notre Dame would love to get both Roman and Kaden in this class as soon as possible.
Notre Dame has been battling some heavy hitters for the services of 5-Star EDGE Abraham Sesay. The Pennsylvania native just visited Notre Dame, and the buzz is strong for him to land in South Bend. The predictions that have come in for Sesay is for him to be Irish.
Notre Dame has really hit Chicago hard during this cycle, and it shows with how well they are sitting with several prospects. One of those is 4-Star DT Brayden Parks. The defensive tackle from Brother Rice just visited the Irish and the predictions have him landing in South Bend. Despite some talk of a cancelled visit to see the Oregon Ducks this weekend, Parks is still expected in Eugene — but he’s also expected to be Irish.
This last one isn’t leaning nearly as much toward Notre Dame as the others listed here, but Notre Dame is making some serious moves with 5-Star guard Albert Simien. The Irish will host Simien this upcoming weekend, so we will get a better take on where he stands after that — but there is a legitimate chance for Notre Dame to win this one.
If the Irish can add 5 or all 6 of these recruits, we’re talking about a class that might end up higher ranked than last year’s historic haul.
