Michigan has been dominating on the college football recruiting trail. Michigan just added 4-star corner Blake Jenkins to the class, beating out Alabama, Texas, and SMU.

Now, they have added a four-star edge rusher, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.

Ifeanyi Emedobi has committed to Michigan over Minnesota and Penn State. This came after he moved up his visit from June 19 to June 12. Michigan was one of the last schools to offer Emedobi, but they made a great impression, according to Allen Trieu of The Detroit News.

“They came pretty late, but they made up for it by showing a lot of love as well, like showing a lot of interest,” Emedobi said.

Emedobi also noted that Ann Arbor checked all of his boxes.

“I definitely feel like Michigan checked the boxes that I wanted to be checked,” he said. “It had the family atmosphere, it had the development piece with Coach (Kyle) Whittingham being at Utah and turning three stars into good players.”

Emedobi’s father, Sam Emedobi, also played college football. He played at Eastern Michigan and was part of the class of 2006 for them. He also loved how Michigan handled the recruiting process.

“I love that they’ve made them a priority by how many times they came to the school,” Sam Emedobi said. “I love the communication with all the coaches that have been communicating with him. It hasn’t just been one coach, but several coaches that have been communicating with him. I want to make sure that he’s developed. It’s pretty much development. I want to be able to see that they can develop him into being the star that I know he is.”

Michigan now has 17 commitments for the class, and 11 blue chips. That ranks them 13th in the nation and 4th in the Big Ten.
