Florida State needs to shut down safety commit on his official visit

Florida State has gained five commitments in the 2027 cycle over the last two weeks. However, they’ve also lost several pledges, with three-star athlete Dayon Cooper being the latest when he flipped to the Tennessee Volunteers.

They have several official visits scheduled this weekend, and three-star safety commit Jemari Foreman is one of them. He pledged to the Seminoles last September, making him their second-longest commitment of the class. Another ACC school is trying to flip Foreman, though, and it’s the Louisville Cardinals.

Two weeks ago, Foreman took an official visit to Louisville. Things went well for the Cardinals in terms of their pursuit, and Foreman even mentioned how much he liked the visit. This makes his visit to Tallahassee this weekend extremely important.

At the moment, Foreman is the only commitment in the secondary for FSU, and they simply can’t afford another loss there. The last thing they want to do is to start over in that area, which means safeties coach Evan Cooper, who has been the spearhead of keeping Foreman, needs to pull out all of the stops.

Four-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole is a major target for Florida State, and they feel confident that they can land him despite the Georgia Bulldogs making a push. With that said, it isn’t a guarantee that it will happen, which makes getting Foreman to shut down his recruitment even more important for the Seminoles.
