Minnesota Football: Bowl projections after Week 12

A 42-13 loss to the No. 8-ranked Oregon Ducks on Friday did nothing to help the Minnesota Golden Gophers’ (6-4) bowl game prospects. But with two winnable games on tap for the final two weeks of the regular season, the Gophers have an opportunity to bolster their bowl standing.

For now, here are the latest bowl projections:

CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm: Rate Bowl (Dec. 26; Phoenix, AZ) vs. Iowa State

Sports Illustrated’s Bryan Fischer: Rate Bowl (Dec. 26; Phoenix, AZ) vs. Kansas State
