The Florida State Seminoles added a linebacker commitment to #Tribe27 today, as CJ Ohuabunwa has made the call for the garnet and gold.
Ohuabunwa is a 6’1, 205 pound linebacker who plays for Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia. He’s ranked as a three star and considered the 87th best linebacker and 122nd best player in Georgia. After a last-minute reschedule led to an official visit in Tallahassee this past weekend, he chose Florida State over fellow finalists Louisville, Virginia Tech, and Kansas, among two dozen other offers.
Ohuabunwa had a very productive junior campaign, racking up 124 tackles (eight for loss), four pass breakups, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and a safety. His film shows a quick trigger in diagnosing plays, good coverage skills, and good pursuit angles. He sports a 4.0 GPA in the classroom and has above average leadership potential at the next level. Certainly a great person to have in the locker room for culture.
