The FSU Seminoles held their Seminole Showcase over the weekend. They had 2028 four-star linebacker Shamar Evans on campus to compete at the event as he made his way to Tallahassee from Ruston, Louisiana.

The Seminoles made an offer to Evans back in December. This was his first time in Tallahassee, though, and FSU was able to impress the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder.

"The visit was good, I had an awesome time bonding with the coaches. Florida State has to have some of the realest coaches I know. Especially Coach Ernie. Coach Sims stays in contact with me daily and that means a lot," Evans told Noles247.

247Sports has Evans as the nation's No. 146 prospect and the No. 11 linebacker. He's also the No. 1 recruit in the state of Louisiana as well.

Evans has over 20 offers at the moment. However, he has identified certain programs that are standing out to him. Those schools are the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, Florida Gators, and Florida State.

It isn't hard to see why FSU is interested in Evans. He's coming off a productive sophomore year as he registered 84 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries (returned one for a touchdown). Evans also gained 22 yards on offense on four touches.

Florida State will undoubtedly work to get Evans on campus during the season for another visit.
