Notre Dame ranks as a top team in EA Sports College Football ‘27

While we already know that Notre Dame football will have one of its players on EA Sports College Football 2027’s cover, what we didn’t know was how good they’d have the entire team.

On Tuesday, the top-10 ranked offenses and defenses were announced, and the Irish were ranked in both of them. Notre Dame’s offense checked in at No. 7 behind top ranked Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana, Texas, Miami and LSU. With an 88 overall ranking, the Irish are just four points behind the Buckeyes with an 92.

As for defense, Notre Dame has the second highest ranking at 90, tying with Indiana and Texas Tech. The Ducks are the top team on this side of the ball with a 91 overall rating.

By placing in both the top-10 on offense and defense, the Irish are one of six teams to claim that distinction. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Notre Dame has an overall rating that’s extremely high, as it is the No. 4 overall team in a tie with the Longhorns and behind just Oregon, Ohio State and Indiana.

You have to believe that the Irish will be one of the top teams that are being used in this version of NCAA College Football, and dynasty runs will be littered with titles. The game is set to be available for everyone on July 9th, with early access members being able to play a week before on July 2nd.
