Vote for the lohud Football Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital

The kids call it balling out.

We're going to start each week of the football season by recognizing some of the individuals who performed exceptionally well over the weekend. Please catch up on what our finalists got done on the field, then vote for the player who had the biggest impact for lohud Football Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.

The poll will remain open until Wednesday at 3 p.m. and we'll feature the winner on lohud sports social media accounts.

Declan Connolly, Tuckahoe

The senior running back carried eight times for 134 yards and three touchdowns helping the Tigers roll to a 42-0 win over Haldane in the Section 1 Class D championship game.

Crew Davis, Iona Prep

The senior running back picked up 162 yards and one TD on 16 carries and caught six passes for 75 yards in a 42-0 CHSFL AAA semifinal win over St. Anthony's.

Thomas Freeman, Bronxville

The senior linebacker and wide receiver set the tone, recovering a fumble to set up the first Broncos touchdown and scoring the game's second touchdown after blocking a punt during a 56-6 win over Dobbs Ferry in the Section 1 Class C championship.

Henry Kelly, Mamaroneck

The senior quarterback completed 3 of 10 passes for 41 yards and carried 14 times for 51 yards and one touchdown. He also set up a field goal with a long run, leading the Tigers to a 9-0 win over John Jay-East Fishkill in the Section 1 Class AA championship.

Carson Miller, Rye

The senior quarterback completed 14 of 21 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 87 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Garnets to a 40-17 win over Somers in the Section 1 Class A championship game.

Brayden Richardson, Sleepy Hollow

The senior running back delivered 155 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries and caught a 30-yard touchdown pass, propelling the Horsemen to a 27-14 win over Westlake in the Section 1 Class B championship game.
