One of the Washington Huskies‘ top unranked targets in the 2027 class is ready to announce his college choice on Wednesday, June 24.

Four-star defensive tackle Sam LeJeune, a product of Poplarville High School in Mississippi, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 119 overall prospect and No. 11 defensive lineman by the 247Sports Composite, will choose from a top three of California, Florida State, and Washington at 3:30 p.m. PT.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound prospect took an official visit to Cal on June 5, before stopping in Seattle on June 8, and the Seminoles got the final chance to make an impression on him on June 12. Coach Mike Norvell’s squad is viewed as the heavy favorite for his services, as LeJeune holds several crystal balls to pick the Seminoles.

The Huskies made a strong late push for LeJeune after extending an offer to him in mid-May, and although on film, he looks like a versatile fit along the interior of defensive coordinator Ryan Walters’ front, if the crystal ball is to come to fruition on Wednesday afternoon, it’s likely a result of a much stronger relationship with the Seminoles’ staff.

“Active interior defender with strong on-field profile and encouraging functional athleticism,” 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks wrote in his evaluation. “Quick off the ball and plays with natural leverage…Motor runs hot. Works back into plays and consistently rallies to the ball…Flashes some speed-to-power ability and displays lateral range in pursuit.”

The Huskies currently hold four commits along the defensive front in the 2027 class: four-star defensive tackles Jon Ioane and Tevita Nonu, four-star edge rusher Chaz Gray, and three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei.
