Redshirt junior offensive lineman Shamurad Umarov enters his fourth season at Tennessee in 2026. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-7, 321-pound offensive lineman has appeared in 27 games, including 10 starts, for the Vols from 2023-25. Umarov has played in 837 offensive snaps.
In 2025, he appeared in 13 games, including 10 starts at left guard, and did not allow a sack in 758 offensive snaps.
Umarov played in 10 contests at guard in 2024, totaling 66 total offensive snaps. He earned a redshirt as a freshman in 2023 after appearing in four games
Umarov is from Denmark High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. He enrolled early at Tennessee in Dec. 2022 and participated in Orange Bowl practices.
Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season Sept. 5 versus Furman at Neyland Stadium. The season opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).
The Vols will also host Kennesaw State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU, while playing at Georgia Tech, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt during the 2026 campaign.
