Tennessee appeared to be able to pencil defensive lineman Kadin Fife into their 2027 plans with confidence, until the four-star prospect decided to back out of his commitment here in late June.

The interior defender committed to Tennessee in November 2025 after the Volunteers offered him a scholarship earlier in the year.

Fife appears to be in the midst of crafting a re-imagined football future. He just transferred from Chattooga in Georgia to play out his senior high school football season with Cherokee County in Alabama.

It'll be interesting to see where Fife ultimately lands, with Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Auburn all having shown varying levels of interest before he committed to Tennessee last fall.

Georgia has also reportedly logged significant interest in Fife throughout the last few months.
