Penn State is no stranger to having prospects rave about them, with multiple high-level recruits during this cycle speaking positively about the program and the campus. The school is now placing a much larger emphasis on the Class of 2028, hosting large groups of them on visits over the last few weeks.
Last week, four-star edge rusher Luke Nabors touched on how peaceful the campus is, sparking intrigue about whether he will be one of the next players to commit to the Nittany Lions. There is another name to add to that list now, though, after Top247 offensive tackle Eytan D’oleo had big praise for the school.
The Nittany Lions extended the four-star lineman an offer a little more than two months ago and it seems like they are quickly gaining steam with him. D’oleo said that Penn State is “very high” on his list of teams, adding that, “Their culture, development, and coaching staff really stand out.”

Although James Franklin ran a respectable program, the school’s culture and coaching staff has been praised nonstop since Matt Campbell joined the fray. Even if he is unable to land D’oleo, his words could inspire other players to give the school stronger consideration in the future.
Penn State has reemerged as a recruiting hotbed quicker than most people anticipated, and the growing number of prospects praising them is a testament to it. If this trend continues, then the Nittany Lions might be able to build just as strong of a recruiting class for 2028 as they have for next season.
