Clemson lands another big crystal ball prediction for a 4-star OL target

Clemsonfootball’s offensive line recruiting continues to build momentum under Matt Luke, and the Tigers may already have an early edge with one of the top prospects in the 2028 class.

Four-star interior offensive lineman Sam Walker received a prediction from On3’s Chad Simmons on Monday to eventually land with Clemson through the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine. While there’s still plenty of time before Walker makes a college decision, it’s another positive sign for the Tigers.

The Carrollton, Ga., native is already viewed as one of the premier players in the 2028 cycle. Rivals ranks him as the No. 54 overall prospect nationally, the No. 4 interior offensive lineman and one of Georgia’s top 10 recruits.

Walker has become familiar with Clemson over the past several months. He’s made three unofficial visits to campus, including a recent stop for Dabo Swinney’s summer camp. After spending time working with Luke, the standout lineman left campus with an offer from the Tigers.

Of course, Clemson isn’t the only major program involved. Georgia is expected to be one of the biggest challengers after also offering Walker, while Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee are among the other schools already in pursuit. As his recruitment develops, more national programs are likely to join the race.

Even so, Clemson has positioned itself well early in the process. Luke has transformed the Tigers’ offensive line recruiting since arriving on staff, helping bring in one of the program’s strongest trench classes in recent years while also building momentum in the 2027 cycle.

The Tigers have yet to secure a commitment in the 2028 class, but Walker is a name worth monitoring. If Clemson can eventually turn the latest prediction into a commitment, it would give the program a strong start with one of the nation’s best young offensive linemen.
